July Wrap Up & Summer TBR

This month has gone so quickly, I’ve felt like I’ve hardly done anything this month well except from binge watching Once Upon A Time! If you haven’t watched this show before and are into fairy tales then I highly recommend you watch it because it’s great👍

This month I completed The Selection series!! I only started the series at the end of June so I’m really proud of myself for finishing it so quickly plus its one of my 5 series to finish this year. I think my favourite thing about this series was definitely the romance. I’m not going to say too much about the book as I have a review to come very soon!🙈

I then went on to read When We Collided by Emery Lord. I posted  a review which you can find here. I also read One Paris Summer by Denise Grover Swank after that because I was still in the romance mood❤️.Both these books featured a character finding themselves which I found interesting to read about.

It was then time for me to pick up the book I’d been waiting for since October last year Did I Mention I Miss You by Estelle Maskame (click for review)  . My heart died with this book I just loved it so much and couldn’t put it down. There is a twist that I wasn’t expecting that just made the book even better and to see how much the characters developed through the series and to know I’ll never read about them again!😭😭😭

Following that I read 2 fantastic books The Sin Eater’s Daughter by Melinda Sailsbury and The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins. I had put The Sin Eater’s Daughter on hold earlier in the month due to wanting to finish the selection series but when I did finally get to it OMG IT’S AMAZING!!!! I HAVE NO WORDS!!! everything about it was just beyond me. Then The Girl On The Train kept me up all night I finished it in under 6 hours it was just amazing, it kept me gripped right the way through I even did some live tweeting about how much I loved the characters.

I can definitely say that July was the month of releases for me because All About The Hype by Paige Toon came out and I had been waiting for this book even longer than DIMIMY and trust me when I say it was definitely worth the wait. I’m sad it’s the last time us readers will see the Jefferson Family.😩

Throughout  July I was reading Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover, I’ve been hearing so many great things about Colleen and this book so decided to try it and it was such a beautiful book with such a different turn on romance.

In terms of my Summer TBR I don’t really have any set books I’m going to read because I’m trying to decrease the amount of books on my bookshelf but I do hope to read:

  • At least 1 mortal instrument book
  • At least 1 book in the Red Queen series

What are you currently reading? And What books should I read this month? Let me know on Twitter or in the comments!😃
