What if the person you were meant to be with could never be yours?
17-year-old Lucinda falls in love with a gorgeous, intelligent boy, Daniel, at her new school, the grim, foreboding Sword & Cross . . . only to find out that Daniel is a fallen angel, and that they have spent lifetimes finding and losing one another as good & evil forces plot to keep them apart.
You know when you read a book and don’t know how to feel about it, if it’s good or bad? That’s this book!
I listened to the audio version of this book because I had had the paperback copy of this sitting on my shelf for almost 6 months and nothing could make me read it so when the offer came up of listening to the audiobook I said why not?
I read the first 20 pages of the book and then continued with the recording. When listening and reading to the book I didn’t really find it that interesting, it just felt like a story I had heard before. When I finished the book I reliased the reason I felt like this was because it reminded me so much of Twilight. The constant pining after a guy that says they can’t be together because he’s bad for her yet the girl still continues to persist. Don’t get me wrong I loved Twilight when it came out but I was expecting something different from Fallen.
I did enjoy the mythology and the darkness that the book had but I doubt that I will be reading the next book in the series because I found more negative aspects then good.
