Waterstones

The Reds are commoners, ruled by a Silver elite in possession of god-like superpowers. And to Mare Barrow, a seventeen-year-old Red girl from the poverty-stricken Stilts, it seems like nothing will ever change.

That is, until she finds herself working in the Silver Palace. Here, surrounded by the people she hates the most, Mare discovers that, despite her red blood, she possesses a deadly power of her own. One that threatens to destroy the balance of power.

Fearful of Mare’s potential, the Silvers hide her in plain view, declaring her a long-lost Silver princess, now engaged to a Silver prince. Despite knowing that one misstep would mean her death, Mare works silently to help the Red Guard, a militant resistance group, and bring down the Silver regime.

But this is a world of betrayal and lies, and Mare has entered a dangerous dance – Reds against Silvers, prince against prince, and Mare against her own heart…

 My Thoughts

THIS BOOK!!! OMG HOW DID I WAIT SO LONG TO READ THIS?!

I’m still trying to comprehend how much I love this book. There were so many unexpected twists that I just did not see coming at all. I mean how does Victoria do it?

When I first opened this book I had to read the first 2 chapters twice but after that I was going thorough it like the pages were literally on fire. You were always on the edge of your seat with this book, there was never a dull moment in this book.

Those of you who follow my blog will know that I absolutely loved the Selection Series ( I promise a full review is coming soon!) This had great elements of it involved only better. Romance was an aspect of this book but it definitely wasn’t the main topic of the book and thats what made it brilliant.

Another thing that I loved about the book was that your favourite characters would constantly change throughout the book, you could have no set character because the things they did influenced your decision. I’m not saying who my favourite characters were because it may give away the plot.

I can’t handle not knowing what happens next in the story.I would 100% without a doubt read the next book in the series!
