Did I Mention I love you ( DIMILY) is told from the point of view of Eden, a sixteen year old girl who is travelling from Portland to LA to spend the summer with her estranged father. Her father has a new family this includes her hot older step brother Tyler.
When I initially read the plot of the book, I thought that it was going to be your average contemporary novel but this was so much more. Estelle Maskame’s writing is beyond words in my opinion, she just made me fall in love with everything from the characters right down to LA.
As I said before I really loved the characters, my favourite character was Tyler I just fell in love with him, I loved the way he was described and how he evolved in the book. I also love the topics that’s Estelle talked about such as child abuse and eating disorders. These are topics that I feel aren’t really talked about very often and aren’t really explained, so for Estelle to write about them, I loved her even more.
Throughout the book there was so much tension, Tyler and Eden’s chemistry was on another level, I just loved them as a pair and as individuals. The ending of the book was amazing and just left me wanting more. I have since finishing this book just been rereading it over and over again because it’s complete and utter perfection.
I love this series so much and my heart is aching, waiting for the final book in the trilogy which is out on the 21st July so if you haven’t read it yet, GET READING!!!!
